I've always had music to turn to as a creative outlet, but some people don't really have a creative outlet, so they deal with their emotions in all the wrong ways. People get involved in drugs, and tend to try and run away from their problems. An easy way to help this problem is by finding a solid creative outlet for your own feelings.
Some creative outlets for your feelings I can reccomend would be:
1. Music, play an instrument. Play guitar, sing, bass, drums, anything you can get your hands on.
2. Drawing
3. Writing, any form of writing will do.
4. Reading, this will provide you a productive way to not think about all the bad things happening.
and to improve your overall happiness, despite what may be going on in your life, I suggest you not think about all the bad things going on, but rather focus on the good things going on in your life.

Writing lyrics and mental blocks?
Often times people tell me they are having trouble writing lyrics, or writing in general and they fail to see that its all due to a mental block that their mind is creating. If you have ever had trouble writing in the past, or have wondered about the topic; its usually due to the fact that people worry about what other people will think of it, so they try to tailor their writing to the way other people will recieve it.
If you are really serious and want to improve your writing, the best thing you can do is really try to focus on the general feeling you are trying to express. If your thoughts flow naturally, so will your writing.
By letting your mind wander to all the thoughts of what people are going to think of it, it will only hinder your ability to express what you were trying to in the first place.
Experience will also help. If any of this has helped you out, let me know.

Meaning behind music; Perceptions Of The Sound
Music has been an influential part of human history since the prehistoric era, yet what does any of it mean to us as people? We all have different perceptions of music, we all have different tastes, and we all listen to music for different reasons.
For me personally, being a musician and playing various instruments, music is a huge passion of mine, and by taking the life experiences I've gone through, I am able to creatively express my feelings. Also, being an active listener in music I can relate to only helps circulate that passion, Listening to music= inspiration....Inspiration=my creative unique music, which can then be passed on to listeners like myself, and maybe be used inspire them.
However, not everyone is like me. I'm sure you might have known someone in your life who just simply only listens to music casually, and even some people that don't listen to music at all. Me, being so passionate about music, I find it hard to believe that people can actually go through their life and not care about listening to music.
When you listen to your favorite artists, what are you searching for? Strong lyrical content? Or maybe melodic content? The production of the recording, or the genuine feeling the song emits?
I'm curious to see in the next few years how the music scene changes. It seems that a lot of music is just getting completely over-produced and has no real genuine emotion to it anymore.
